Denia and its surroundings

Denia on the sun kissed Spanish Costa Blanca, the ideal place for unforgettable holidays. Once a fishing village, today the capital of the “Marina Alta”, offers all a holiday maker could wish. Endless sandy beaches (more than 15 km), protected, fascinating rocky coasts, a historical interesting old town with its moorish castle built in the 11th century, churches from the 17th and 18th century. The Montgó Natural Park offers beautiful hiking trails. Denia is situated at the foot of the magic Montgó mountain, just on the coast, exactely between Alicante and Valencia, both airports can be reached within 1 hour approx.

Today still you can watch the fisherman daily landing their catch and you can buy the fresh fish in the “Lonja”. Also the modern Marina is very attractive for a visit, watching the impressive yachts or enjoying dinner in one of the restaurants with view to the sea, later enjoying open-air night life. Denia offers furthermore plenty of shops and boutiques and the near modern shopping centre makes sure that you never will get bored. The fine sandy beaches of Las Marinas are north of the town. Close-by the beach “Punta del Raset”, followed by “Les Marines”, “Les Bovetes”, “Els Molins”, “L’Almadrava” and at the end “Les Deveses”. South from the town there is the area of “Las Rotas” which has a small sandy beach (“La Marineta”) and most beautiful cliffy bays with crystal clear water, limited at the end by the cape of San Antonio.
